Homestay Tours
In the village you select to visit, a few guest rooms with kitchens have been built without disturbing the village environment. Although you have your own space, you will be staying with a host and seen as an extended member of their family with the chance to participate in all of their daily activities. The friendly and hearty behaviors of the family members give you a different experience that you have never enjoyed in your life. In addition, a portion of the tour expenses contribute directly to the welfare of the local community.
You will eat delicious traditional, local food prepared in a neat and clean kitchen, which is hygienic and have the opportunity to explore the village, something you don't get on a trek or hike. Your accommodation is in an actual home, allowing you to feel the cross-cultural exchange in a more authentic way, unlike staying at the local lodge. We can even organize a traditional Bhutanese style wedding or arrange a large corporate including planning the menu, supervising the chef, designing creative table settings and providing the music.
Village Tours and treks will conduct homestays in Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Wangdue, Trongsa and Bumthang. Adventure Silk Road is operating the tour in other parts of Bhutan including Tobesa Village, Shengana/kabesa Village, Dangchu Village and Chumey Village. These places are approved by Department of Tourism under Ministry of Economic Affairs. Thimphu. Accommodations are simple but cleaned.
